FEATURED PROJECT
Uranium Mine
QM was engaged to help make a former uranium mine site in northern Saskatchewan safer through demolition, hazardous-materials management and remediation work at the remote Lake Athabasca site. Access was limited to barge, aircraft and a short winter-road window, making logistics and sequencing a major part of the project.
The work included removing unsafe structures and hazardous materials, managing radiological risks, supporting site remediation, and working closely with neighbouring Indigenous communities through local employment, subcontracting and training initiatives.
